The Falls Festival is not for the faint hearted. This was my first time attending the annual music festival in Byron Bay, and I can say it definitely lived up to its expectations: hot, hot, hot weather, good vibes, amazing friends, great music and gross camping (I’m definitely not one for the outdoors in 35+ heat)
But it was such a great way to celebrate the New Year. It’ll set you back about $400 for the 3 day festival and camp site hire, but its definitely worth it for the memories (and the Instagram photo likes). Make sure you have wicked cool outfits planned for the days, the fashion you come across ranges from weird to wonderful and all things in between (but don’t go too crazy with all the bad hype on cultural appropriate these days, you don’t want to be the one making it on the news for damning another culture that’s just bad form).
