When you’re craving pizza the best thing to do is go to Italy, right? Just a mere 6 hour bus ride later and you’ve got the perfect meal awaiting you.
We arrived in the midst of fashion week, the streets bustling with people clothed in everything from bright coloured dresses to a chic all-black outfit. Chauffeurs lined the streets and we watched the world pass us by with an espresso in our hands.
When we arrived at the foot of the Duomo (after traipsing through the shops and gazing at beautiful clothes we could not afford) it was clear this was the hub of Milan. Tourists dotted across the square in the midst of locals relaxing after shopping.
But it’s not until you climb the 150 stairs to the top of the Duomo that you really see Milan. The buildings stretch out for what seems forever in the small city, but I was in awe of the detailed architecture that is visible up there.
As we sat by the canal eating gelato, we watched the Milano day turn into night. Even more people roamed the streets by the canal, searching for a spot to sit, drink and soak up the atmosphere. Luckily we were able to find a spot and watch the world pass by…
